Department of General Anaesthesia

General anaesthesia is essential for some surgical procedures where it may be safer or more comfortable for you to be unconscious. It’s usually used for long operations or those that would otherwise be very painful.

An anesthesiologist is a specially trained doctor who specializes in anesthesia. While you’re unconscious, the anesthesiologist monitors your body’s vital functions and manages your breathing. In many hospitals, an anesthesiologist and a certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) work together during your procedure.
Our Students are trained in such a manner that they have a perfect understanding of how it works and builds.
